(02) Why we exist

Elio Marchetti

Founder · cleaned the first forty houses himself

Almost nobody wants a contractor. They want the list to stop growing — the tap that drips, the gutter that fills every autumn, the room that never quite gets cleaned properly. So we built the opposite of a call-out company: employed people, standing rounds, and a written record of every house we keep.

Nothing here is clever. It is simply what happens when the same four people look after a house long enough to know which window sticks and which radiator is slow.

One van, one postcode

Elio and two cleaners took on nineteen houses in N1. Every visit was written up by hand in a notebook that still sits in the office.
